3 Questions to Reconnect With Your Why

SOAR hcp™ Editorial · · 4 min read

Somewhere between the early alarm, the full inbox, and the fourth patient of the morning, it happens quietly: you stop asking why, and start just doing. It's not a failure of character. It's what happens when a demanding career runs on autopilot for too long.

The good news is that reconnecting with your why rarely requires a dramatic life change. More often, it starts with a few honest questions, asked slowly, without judgment.

First: what did I imagine this career would give me, and is that still true? Not the job description version, the human one. Second: when was the last time I felt genuinely proud of my work, and what made that moment different? Third: if nothing about my schedule changed tomorrow, what is one thing I could shift in how I show up?

These questions won't fix a broken system on their own. But they can help you tell the difference between a season that needs rest and a path that needs redirection, and that distinction changes everything about what comes next.
